Kitchen Safety -

Safety gets old doesn't it? All this talk about safety? Am I starting to sound like your Grandma?

Safety is not a big deal is it? UNTIL IT HAPPENS TO YOU! If it was your daughter who was helping you wash the dishes in your kitchen's sink and a volt of electricity zapped her and you no longer have a child - perhaps then the safety I writing about will sink in.

Following safety procedures and understanding safety is in the general interest of anyone willing to take the time to learn throughout the entire home and every area of life! Do not limited your safety knowledge to the kitchen mistakes listed to prevent dangerous kitchens.

I am not one who likes upper class snobby people. And I can safely say (For Now) from the safety of my office I will not apologize to those of you who are upper class educated snobs!

When I write I do my best best to put it into simple terms anyone can understand. Being educated on certain items however, such as general safety for kitchen and bath areas is needed. Being educated is most certainly a good thing - with out the snob portion. The safety lesson for the day is - Avoiding Shock Hazards!

Fire Extinguisher Class Ratings for Proper Kitchen Safety

Your kitchen can be one of the most dangerous rooms in your home! Flames may shoot onto items covered in grease, sharp knives slice careless types of homeowners open to the bone, and cleaning compounds and other types of lethal kitchen hazards all make it very important to learn kitchen safety.

I like to take my young son to the fairgrounds and watch the demolition and different types of car derbys. The Fire Department :-) themselves had a member who forgot this important lesson (Having the right type of fire extinguisher). Each time the poor man would try to put out the flames with his fire extinguisher it would only spread! Understand the fire extinguisher type, and the correct rating for your kitchens fire extinguisher.

Kitchen's Fire Extinguisher

Safe kitchens need a fire extinguisher. If you do not have a fire extinguisher in your kitchen - get one! The fire extinguisher type must be rated correctly to ensure safety in your kitchen.
There are types of safety ratings on fire extinguishers of A, B, and C. Class A fires happen with wood, paper, and normal combustible materials. Water works to safely put out this type of fire.

Class B includes flammable and combustible types of liquids. Class C is needed for electrical fire types. For your kitchen's safety - understand that kitchen fires begin as class B or class C so class B-C or ABC rated fire extinguisher types are the fire extinguisher to buy for your homes kitchen.
